| The mission of Kittitas County Park & Recreation District No. 1 is to work with government, landowners, and the public to maintain and increase recreational opportunities for Upper Kittitas County. |
| Goal Statement |
| Kittitas County Park & Recreation District No. 1 will provide and maintain accessible, multi-use recreational opportunities that will benefit both the public and the landowners in the area. An upper county trail system will provide people with an opportunity to be physically active in a natural setting. The organized, sustainable system of trails, riverfront access and other recreational opportunities will preserve and enhance public access to outdoor recreation and will have the capacity to meet the needs of the maximum projected population and usage. |
| History |
| The voters in the Cle Elum, Roslyn, and Ronald areas established the Park & Rec District at the November 2005 election. In 2007, the area covered by the Easton School District was annexed by the voters in that district, and the original Park & Rec District. |
